Origami labeling - PLAYING ALLOWED

A designer duo Lindsten and Pouverel based in Paris has created a fabulous origami label for a bottle.

Clara Lindsten, a Swedish designer and the other part of the design team explains that playing with things when you get nervous is a common phenomena. In the result of this behaviour noticed they came up with the label allowing one to play.

Following the instructions you can fold a flower out of the first so silmple looking etiquette. Fabulous! Just waiting for someone to produce this so that I can get it to my shelf.

SIS. Deli+Café

Two Finnish sisters founded a deli+café with a philosophy easy to support. According to their website, SIS. Deli+Café aims at offering delicious, healthy and easy approachable food.

Aesthetics is not mentioned as one of their targets, but the brand identity and printed materials used are simply and stylish. The simplicity attracts in offering and taste: no more than perfect detailing. Not to mention the beautiful SIS. Deli+Café stores/cafés. Packaging are very tempting on the black shelves and just like part of the interior design.

Now SIS. Deli has launched together with another Finnish company, Iittala, a series of products called Goodness from Finland. The products are sold in Iittala shops and include goodies such as pasta, nuts, granola, marmalade, fudge and liquorish. The last is a must when talking about food in Finland.

Although the co-operation packages of SIS. Deli & Iittala plastic, unlike many other SIS. Deli products, they follow the company's black and white/ brown paper look. The smart look is not just fun to watch, but more ecological than four color printing. Not to mention, much cheaper.
Who said that good looking always costs more?

SIS. Deli+Café brand identity is designed by a Finnish design agency called Muotohiomo.

Renee Voltaire

Renée Voltaire is a Swedish woman who founded a ecologic product line following her own food philosophy.

"I get my idéas from all over the world and am inspired by different food philpsophy such as raw- and macrobiotic food, ayurveda and organic farming. The message among them is clear- we should eat to stay healthy! The food we eat should bring us health and not take it away from us.", Renée Voltaire explains in the brand's website.

To follow her philosophy " food that is healthy, beautiful and fun to cook" the Renée Voltaire packaging is absolutely exiting to look at. Pure and simple, yet with a feminine and loving touch.
The Swedish supermarket chain ICA has launched new products to their ecological food brand I (heart) eco.

In Scandinavia many private labels are not traditionally as lucrative as for example in US, due to more narrowly designed price/quality categories, but these indeed would win any competition! The best in these products is that they are said to be less pricey.

I love ICA's eco!

Åkkesson Vin

Truly Scandinavian. Thes wine packages do not only give us a modern look but an innovative way to pack wine. Who said that other than glass bottles should look cheap and ugly? Certainly not Åkkesson Vin that has a great variety of gorgeous wine packaging in Sweden. Now available also in Finland. Pure enjoyment!

Yosa

Bioferme, a small challenger in the Finnish yogurt market was founded already in 1977. It's based in a small Finnish village and became publicly known only lately, most in my opinion due to their fresh and modern package design.

Yosa products are not made from milk but from oat. The company states that whenever possible, they strive to use domestic ingredients produced close to their manufacturing facilities. Being 100% plant-based, the environmental burden of Yosa is lower compared to similar dairy products. Also all electricity used by Bioferme environmentally-friendly and certified as 100% renewable energy: nordic water-, wind-, bio- or solar energy.

The ecological packaging of Yosa is made from recyclable material. So in addition to it's looks I think that this brand is worth mentioning.
